CVE-2024-26016Network attack vector

Asset ownership takeover via unauthorized import

Published Feb 28, 2024 · Updated Apr 22, 2025

Incorrect authorization in Apache Superset before 3.0.4 and 3.1.0 allows remote authenticated users to take ownership of imported assets. The dashboard and chart import paths accept an existing object's identifier without verifying that the importer may access it, then permit metadata changes that assign ownership. A low-privilege account with import access is required; the takeover does not bypass separate analytical-data access controls.
