Authenticated code execution via upload restriction evasion

Published Mar 18, 2024 · Updated Aug 12, 2024

File-upload restriction evasion in Amssplus AMSS++ 4.31 allows remote authenticated users to execute code by uploading a webshell. Public records identify no affected endpoint, filename-validation routine, or exact filter error; they disclose only that upload restrictions can be evaded. A valid account and network access to the upload function are required, after which the webshell can read, alter, or interrupt resources accessible to the web server.
