CVE-2024-2597Network attack vector

Session cookie theft via unencoded b_id parameter

Published Mar 18, 2024 · Updated Apr 10, 2025

Reflected XSS in AMSS++ 4.31 allows remote attackers to steal an authenticated user's session cookie through a crafted URL. The bookdetail_school_person.php endpoint returns the b_id parameter without sufficient output encoding, allowing injected script to execute in the page. Exploitation requires an authenticated user to open the attacker's URL; the script runs in that user's browser session and can expose or alter session-scoped data.
