Session-cookie theft via unencoded request parameters
Published Mar 18, 2024 · Updated Aug 21, 2024
Cross-site scripting in Amssplus AMSS++ 4.31 allows remote attackers to steal authenticated users' session cookies via crafted URLs. The select_send.php handler under /amssplus/modules/mail/main/ fails to sufficiently encode multiple user-controlled parameters before rendering them. Exploitation requires an authenticated user to open the crafted link, after which injected script can read and exfiltrate that user's session cookie.
