CVE-2024-25906Network attack vector

Vote restriction bypass via trusted forwarding headers

Published May 17, 2024 · Updated Apr 28, 2026

IP address spoofing in Happy Coders Comments Like Dislike 1.2.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to bypass vote restrictions. The IP-retrieval logic in inc/classes/cld-library.php trusts user-supplied HTTP_CLIENT_IP and HTTP_X_FORWARDED_FOR headers as the voter’s address. Subscriber-level access and the IP Restriction setting are required; changing a header lets one account submit additional likes or dislikes from the same client.
