Browser script execution via unsanitized Type parameter
Published Feb 21, 2024 · Updated Aug 15, 2024
Reflected XSS in ChurchCRM 5.5.0 allows remote attackers to execute script in a user's browser through EventAttendance.php. EventAttendance.php inserts the GET Type value into the page title and hidden form inputs without neutralizing HTML metacharacters. Exploitation requires a user to follow a crafted link; the script then runs in the ChurchCRM origin and can access data or perform actions available to that session.
