Stored script execution via unsanitized membership type
Published Feb 28, 2024 · Updated Aug 27, 2024
Stored XSS in CodeAstro Membership Management System 1.0 allows remote attackers to execute scripts through membershipType. The add_type.php handler stores membershipType in the database without sanitization and later renders the value on application pages. Execution requires another user to open a page displaying the stored membership type, where the payload runs in that user's application origin.
