CVE-2024-25864Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated SSRF via unrestricted account-name domain

Published Apr 3, 2024 · Updated Mar 13, 2025

Server-side request forgery in Friendica 2023.12 allows remote attackers to reach internal services through the fpostit.php endpoint. The endpoint accepts an unauthenticated account-name value and uses its domain to perform server-side DNS resolution and an HTTP request without restricting the destination. A crafted POST can make the server contact public, internal, or loopback hosts, using the instance as an attack proxy; the public reproduction does not demonstrate response disclosure or code execution.
