Administrator access via AccessControlList command injection
Published Apr 11, 2024 · Updated Aug 14, 2024
Command injection in Linksys RE7000 firmware 2.0.9, 2.0.11, and 2.0.15 allows remote attackers to gain device administrator access. The set_accessControlList function passes the untrusted AccessControlList value through set_value_nvram and fprintf into cbt_system without command neutralization. An unauthenticated attacker on an adjacent network can send a crafted PUT request to the web interface, execute operating-system commands, and gain full device administration.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
