Editor-level stored XSS via unsanitized plugin settings
Published Mar 21, 2024 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Stored XSS in Wow-Company WP Coder 3.5 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through plugin settings. The settings path stores attacker-controlled markup and later renders it without sufficient input sanitization or output escaping. Editor-level access is required, and exposure is limited to multisite installations or installations with unfiltered_html disabled; the script executes when a user visits an injected page.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
