Authentication bypass via post-redirect execution
Published Mar 18, 2024 · Updated Aug 22, 2024
Execution after redirect in SourceCodester Employee Task Management System 1.0 allows remote attackers to reach protected task-editing functions. The /edit-task.php endpoint issues an access-control redirect but continues processing the supplied task identifier, leaving protected output reachable to clients that ignore the redirect. No authentication is required; the published material demonstrates access with a crafted request but does not establish the full range of data changes available.
