Unauthenticated script execution via crafted link
Published Apr 4, 2024 · Updated Apr 10, 2025
Reflected XSS in the home application of Esri Portal for ArcGIS 11.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to run JavaScript via a crafted link. Esri identifies the home application and crafted-link vector but has not disclosed which parameter is reflected or which output-encoding operation fails. Exploitation requires an unauthenticated attacker to persuade a victim to click the link, causing attacker-supplied script to execute in that victim's browser.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=0 <=11.1
- Affected versionversion=10.8.1
