Cross-site scripting in Esri Portal for ArcGIS 11.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to inject content through crafted input. The portal concatenates attacker-controlled input into error messages and renders the result without sanitization, enabling script and frame injection. No authentication or user interaction is required, and successful exploitation permits browser-context data access or modification without interrupting the service.
