Dangerous file upload via unchecked logo content
Published Feb 9, 2024 · Updated Aug 26, 2024
Unrestricted file upload in MISP before 2.4.184 allows remote authenticated users to store unvalidated organization logo content. OrganisationsController.php::__uploadLogo derives the destination filename from the submitted extension without first validating the extension, file content, MIME type, or size. Access requires authentication and privileges to change an organization logo; accepted content can bypass the application's intended PNG and SVG restrictions.
