Administrator-level password disclosure via cleartext client memory
Published Oct 1, 2024 · Updated Oct 1, 2024
Cleartext credential storage in Infinera Transcend Network Management System before 21.00.0.650 allows local users to read passwords. The TNMS Client desktop application retains various users' passwords as cleartext in process memory, where application memory dumps expose them. Guest OS administrator privileges and user interaction are required, and the bounded consequence is disclosure of passwords handled by the client.
