Service interruption via unbounded CPE registration storage
Published Mar 18, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Improper input validation in AVSystem Unified Management Platform 23.07.0.16567 allows remote attackers to interrupt service via CPE registration. The registration path accepts arbitrarily large data from unauthenticated CPEs and stores it in the application database without an effective size limit. Repeated submissions can exhaust database capacity and disrupt the entire platform; the exact affected field and implementation locus are undisclosed.
