Message disclosure via exposed symmetric key
Published Mar 14, 2024 · Updated Nov 21, 2024
Insecure key exchange in Delinea Secret Server 11.4 and Distributed Engine 8.4.3 allows remote authenticated users to read RabbitMQ messages. Crafted payloads to the /pre-authenticate, /authenticate, and /execute-and-respond REST endpoints disclose the symmetric key used to encrypt those messages. PAM administrator access is required; the key enables unaudited Engine impersonation and reading of sensitive messages from RabbitMQ exchanges.
