Local privilege escalation via overpermissive runtime directories

Incorrect directory permissions in affected containerd releases allow local users to access protected host data and elevate privileges. The daemon creates its state, CRI, sandbox-controller, and configured temporary directories with group or world traversal or read permissions instead of mode 0700. A local host account can inspect metadata or Kubernetes volume contents, and privilege escalation requires useful content such as a setuid binary in an exposed volume.
