Service interruption via unauthenticated PAPI requests
Published Mar 5, 2024 · Updated Mar 27, 2025
Denial of service in the ArubaOS Spectrum service allows remote attackers to interrupt the service through unauthenticated PAPI requests. HPE identifies the Spectrum service and PAPI access path but has not disclosed the malformed input or resource-handling error that triggers the interruption. Network reachability to PAPI is sufficient when Enhanced PAPI Security uses its default key; the consequence is limited to interruption of the affected service.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
