Script execution via unsanitized organization name
Published Feb 21, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Stored XSS in Liferay Portal 7.2.0 through 7.4.2 and affected DXP 7.2 and 7.3 releases allows remote authenticated users to inject script. The Users Admin edit-user page stores an organization's Name value without neutralizing a crafted HTML or script payload before rendering it. An authenticated account able to edit that field and a later viewer are required, and the payload executes in the viewer's browser.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
