Authenticated SQL injection via punch-in user identifier
Published Mar 17, 2024 · Updated Aug 8, 2024
SQL injection in SourceCodester Employee Task Management System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to query or alter its database. The attendance-info.php punch-in handler passes the POST user_id value to add_punch_in, where it enters a MySQL statement without parameter binding or neutralization. A valid PHP session and a crafted punch-in request are required; time-based blind queries can extract or change application data and delay database work.
