Script execution via unsanitized reviewer name
Published Mar 17, 2024 · Updated Aug 8, 2024
Stored cross-site scripting in SourceCodester Product Review/Rating System 1.0 allows remote attackers to run script through a reviewer name. The Rate Product handler accepts HTML event-handler markup in the reviewer-name field and renders it in the review display without neutralization. Review-submission access and a user viewing the injected review are required; the script then runs in the affected site's browser context.
