Database read and write via concatenated attachment identifier
Published May 7, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
SQL injection in RuvarOA 6.01 and 12.01 allows remote attackers to read or modify database data via the attach_id parameter. The AttachDownLoad Page_Load handler in Mobile.dll concatenates the untrusted query-string value inside a quoted WHERE clause and sends the resulting statement to SqlHelper.ExecuteReader. A network request to the exposed attachment-download endpoint requires no authentication, and injected SQL runs with the web application's database privileges.
