Command-line crash via improperly handled transformation values
Published Feb 9, 2024 · Updated Nov 4, 2025
Reachable assertion in Hugin 2022.0.0 allows local users to crash its command-line tool when crafted transformation values are processed. HuginBase::PTools::Transform::transform improperly handles supplied values and reaches an assertion instead of returning an error. A user must process the attacker-controlled input; the documented result is a command-line process crash, not a broader system outage.
