Subscriber-level data tampering via unchecked AJAX actions
Published Jun 15, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Missing authorization in Sygnoos Popup Builder 4.3.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to alter or delete subscriber data. Its AJAX action handlers dispatch subscriber deletion and import operations without checking the caller's WordPress capabilities. Subscriber-level access is sufficient to delete subscribers or import crafted subscriber data that produces stored cross-site scripting.
