CVE-2024-25423Public exploit

Code execution via out-of-bounds file parsing

Published Feb 22, 2024 · Updated Jul 9, 2026

Out-of-bounds write in Maxon Cinema 4D R2024.2.0 and earlier allows local users to execute arbitrary code by opening a crafted C4D file. The c4d_base.xdl64 parser writes beyond a buffer boundary while processing malformed C4D file data. Exploitation requires a user to open the file, after which attacker-controlled code runs in that user's context.
