Menu modification via forged cross-site request
Published Feb 11, 2024 · Updated May 15, 2025
Cross-site request forgery in flusity-CMS 2.33 allows remote attackers to modify menu entries through an authenticated user's browser. The /core/tools/update_menu.php endpoint accepts a cross-origin POST containing an action, menu ID, name, URL, position, template, visibility, and parent ID without a request-specific token. A logged-in user with menu-editing privileges must load attacker-controlled content and submit the request; the demonstrated consequence is alteration of an existing menu entry.
