Published Sep 27, 2024 · Updated Sep 27, 2024
Cross-site scripting in FlatPress 1.3 setup.php allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary web scripts through a crafted username. The installer accepts markup in the username parameter, and submitting an event-handler payload causes the browser to execute it. Exploitation requires the setup interface to be reachable and a user to render the crafted response, exposing browser-accessible data and actions.
