CVE-2024-25393Network attack vector

Memory corruption via unchecked AT command length

Published Mar 27, 2024 · Updated Nov 4, 2025

Stack buffer overflow in RT-Thread AT Server through 5.0.2 allows remote attackers to corrupt memory via crafted AT command data. The at_cmd_get_name() function copies up to 255 bytes from cmd_buffer into the 16-byte cmd_name stack buffer without a length check. The AT Server feature must be enabled and initialized, and the attacker must reach its configured command channel; overwriting stack state can crash the device or divert control flow.
