CVE-2024-25385Public exploit

Local denial of service via double stream close

Published Feb 22, 2024 · Updated Aug 16, 2024

Use-after-free in FLVMeta 1.2.2 allows local users to crash the command-line utility by processing a crafted FLV file. On a video-tag EOF path, flv_read_video_tag closes the stream, and flv_parse closes the same freed stream again, dereferencing and freeing it twice. Local access is sufficient to supply and process the file, terminating the FLVMeta process without reported confidentiality or integrity impact.
