Application crash via pathological URL regex matching

Denial of service in s3-url-parser 1.0.3 allows remote attackers to crash an embedding application via a crafted S3 URL. The s3ParseUrl function decodes the supplied URL and applies several susceptible regular expressions whose matching time grows pathologically on a long crafted sequence. Exploitation requires an application to pass attacker-controlled URL text into the library; the demonstrated consequence is process unavailability rather than data access or modification.
