Administrator-level code execution via PHP template injection
Published Feb 14, 2024 · Updated May 12, 2025
Code injection in REDAXO CMS 5.15.1 allows remote authenticated users with administrator access to execute arbitrary PHP via templates. The template editor at /addons/structure/plugins/content/pages/templates.php stores administrator-supplied PHP without validation and executes it when an article using that template is viewed. Administrator access to the CMS backend is required; successful exploitation runs commands with the web application's privileges and permits data access, modification, or service interruption.
