Authenticated database disclosure via unsanitized vocabulary identifier
Published Feb 21, 2024 · Updated Aug 16, 2024
SQL injection in SLiMS 9 Bulian 9.6.1 allows remote authenticated users to read database data through the vocabulary editor. The pop-scope-vocabolary.php handler concatenates the POST vocabolary_id value into the WHERE criterion passed to simbio_dbop::update without validation or parameter binding. Access to the Master File vocabulary control requires a privileged account, and the demonstrated time-based injection discloses database information.
