Unauthenticated code execution via unrestricted file upload
Published Feb 20, 2024 · Updated Aug 29, 2024
Unrestricted file upload in Novel-Plus 4.3.0-RC1 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code through /sysFile/upload. The endpoint accepts a crafted file without restricting dangerous file types, leaving uploaded content executable by the server. No authentication or user interaction is required, and successful exploitation gives control over application data and service execution.
