CVE-2024-25249

TCC permission inheritance via enabled Electron Node mode

Published Feb 21, 2024 · Updated Mar 27, 2025

Permission inheritance in He3 App 2.0.17 for macOS allows local users to run Node.js code with the application's granted TCC access. The enabled runAsNode fuse honors ELECTRON_RUN_AS_NODE and launches the application as a generic Node.js process; enableNodeCliInspectArguments also accepts Node inspection arguments. Existing arbitrary-command execution on the host is required, so Electron disputes the record's remote-attack premise and severity.
