Browser script execution via unsanitized category names
Published Feb 14, 2024 · Updated May 8, 2025
Stored cross-site scripting in Simple Admin Panel App 1.0 allows remote attackers to execute scripts through a crafted Category Name. The Add Category workflow accepts the Category Name without adequate sanitization and renders the resulting markup as active HTML. Execution requires a user to render the injected category, and the script runs in that user's site origin, enabling cookie access and session actions.
