Database read and modification via taskID injection
Published Feb 14, 2024 · Updated May 12, 2025
SQL injection in Task Manager App 1.0 allows remote attackers to read or modify database data through the taskID query parameter. The EditTask.php handler places the unneutralized taskID value in a MySQL query, enabling boolean-, time-, and UNION-based injection. No login or user interaction is required, and successful exploitation exposes or alters TaskManager database records.
