CVE-2024-25153Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated code execution via ftpservlet path traversal

Published Mar 13, 2024 · Updated Sep 19, 2025

Path traversal in Fortra FileCatalyst Workflow 5.x before 5.1.6 Build 114 allows remote attackers to execute code via file upload. The ftpservlet accepts a traversal sequence in the sid parameter and writes the X-File-Name payload outside uploadtemp, including beneath the web DocumentRoot. Anonymous login must be enabled, and code execution requires the uploaded payload to be a reachable JSP file.
