Heap-based buffer overflow in TP-Link ER605 1.0.1 through 2.2.3 allows local users to execute code as root through cloud-brd. The cloud-brd binary performs an integer calculation that overflows and causes an undersized heap operation during attacker-directed heap shaping. Local access to the appliance is required, and successful heap shaping yields root-context code execution.
