CVE-2024-25137Network attack vector

Service crash via user-sized stack copy

Published Mar 26, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024

Stack-based buffer overflow in AutomationDirect C-MORE EA9 products 6.77 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to cause a service crash. An undisclosed program copies a user-sized buffer into a smaller fixed-capacity stack buffer without enforcing the destination bound. Network access with low privileges is required, and the documented consequence for this CVE is denial of service rather than code execution.
