Sensitive-data exposure via wildcard credentialed CORS
Published Feb 21, 2024 · Updated Aug 26, 2024
Permissive CORS policy in GoFiber Fiber before 2.52.1 allows remote attackers to expose application data through insecure response headers. The CORS middleware's New function accepts AllowOrigins set to * with AllowCredentials enabled, then emits an invalid wildcard-and-credentials policy instead of rejecting the configuration. The affected state requires that nondefault combination; standards-compliant browsers and utilities that enforce CORS reject it, so the advisory does not establish browser-based data access.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
