CVE-2024-25115

Authenticated code execution via unchecked chunk bounds

Published Apr 9, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024

Heap buffer overflow in RedisBloom 2.0.0 through 2.4.6 and 2.5.0 through 2.6.9 allows remote authenticated users to execute code. CF_LoadEncodedChunk trusts attacker-controlled chunk positions and lengths, then copies chunk data with memcpy beyond the selected filter buffer. Access to CF.LOADCHUNK and a crafted Cuckoo-filter chunk is required; successful exploitation runs code in the Redis server process.
