Authenticated file write via external license entity
Published Feb 17, 2025 · Updated Feb 18, 2025
XML external entity injection in RSA Authentication Manager before 8.7 SP2 Patch 1 allows remote authenticated users to store files on its server. The license file processor resolves an attacker-supplied SYSTEM entity URI, retrieves the referenced remote content, and saves that content locally. License-upload access is required; exploitation writes attacker-controlled content but does not disclose data from the server.
