Authentication bypass via unnormalized web context path
Published Feb 28, 2024 · Updated Feb 13, 2025
Path traversal in Apache OFBiz before 18.12.12 allows remote attackers to bypass authentication through a crafted web context path. LoginWorker.hasBasePermission used an unnormalized request contextPath to select web-application permission metadata, allowing dot segments to change the authorization target. No credentials or user interaction are required, and successful requests can reach application functionality that is normally protected.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
