Internal service access via NGINX proxy parameters
Published Mar 2, 2024 · Updated Mar 27, 2025
Server-side request forgery in Hikvision HikCentral Professional 2.5.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to access restricted URLs. The NGINX configuration passes attacker-controlled SDK query parameters and cookies directly to proxy_pass, causing the server to proxy requests to a chosen address. Unauthenticated network access is sufficient, and exploitation can read responses from internal services reachable by the HikCentral server.
