Unauthenticated memory exhaustion via crafted servlet requests
Published Apr 25, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Denial of service in IBM WebSphere Application Server and Liberty allows remote attackers to exhaust server memory via crafted requests. IBM identifies the affected Liberty servlet features but keeps the request-processing defect and malformed request structure confidential. Traditional 8.5 and 9.0 and Liberty 17.0.0.3 through 24.0.0.4 are affected; successful exploitation interrupts application service.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
