System restart via improper AMF input validation
Published Aug 20, 2024 · Updated Aug 20, 2024
Improper input validation in Ericsson Packet Core Controller before 1.33 allows attackers on an adjacent network to restart the system. Ericsson has not published the input field or validation error inside the Access and Mobility Management Function that triggers the restart. Exploitation requires adjacent-network reachability but no privileges or user interaction, and the reported consequence is availability loss rather than data exposure or modification.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
