Administrator-authenticated code execution via Control System input validation
Published Aug 16, 2024 · Updated Aug 16, 2024
Improper input validation in Ericsson RAN Compute and Site Controller 6610 before 24.Q2 allows remote authenticated users to execute code. The Control System accepts attacker-controlled input without adequate validation, but Ericsson has not disclosed the affected interface, field, or operation. Exploitation requires a valid OAM account with the system administrator role and access from the device's protected adjacent network; successful execution has that account's privileges and can provide a Linux shell.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
