Authenticated SYSTEM command execution via path traversal
Published Apr 19, 2024 · Updated Dec 16, 2025
Path traversal in Ivanti Avalanche before 6.4.3 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary commands as SYSTEM. WLAvalancheService, listening on TCP port 1777 by default, uses a user-supplied path in file operations without proper validation. Valid service credentials and network access to that port are required, and successful exploitation grants SYSTEM-level code execution.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
