SYSTEM command execution via unlocked object transaction
Published Apr 19, 2024 · Updated Dec 16, 2025
Race condition in Ivanti Avalanche's web component before 6.4.3 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands as SYSTEM. The doInTransaction method operates on an object without proper locking, allowing its state to change between validation and use. A valid account and network access to the web component are required; successful exploitation yields SYSTEM-level command execution.
